Camp Description: Students will learn a variety of textile-based techniques including hand-stitching, crochet, felting, and experimentation to create a brand-new species! This can be an animal, plant, person, or beyond by definition. Emphasis on playful experimentation with material choices, and unconventional filling materials while they consider color, weight, scale, and texture of their Frankenstein-Creature.
This class is designed for all experience levels and encourages curiosity, creativity, and hands-on problem-solving. Participants will leave with a finished soft sculpture and a deeper understanding of how textile techniques and three-dimensional design can transform ideas into curious new sculptural forms.
