How to look at something real like a still life or landscape and make it abstract by really changing the shapes, lines, colors and other things that you see. You can choose how much abstraction you want in your pieces. Use multiple layers to create richness and depth. Create using your choice of many types of media, different brush sizes, textures, patterns, acrylic paints, tools, stamps, stencils, collage papers, pencils, art crayons, etc. Some basic art “rules” will be discussed and discarded at your discretion. For example, color schemes, creating depth, design of value plans, passage of how your eye moves through a painting, having a focal point. Each class will begin with a short class demo and then the instructor will help each student with their individual pieces. Beginners or Experienced Welcome! Let’s get loose and have fun!
