Visual Arts Painters Studio

Visual Arts Painters Studio: Studio C January 12th- February 16th Price: $195.00 Thursday, 10am- 2pm. (4 Week) Instructor: Janet Visser This is an intermediate and advanced course that encourages experimental approaches to painting through historical and contemporary study. Students creatively explore issues of color, surface and composition and are encouraged to begin exploration of individualized concerns that can be addressed through image making. Thematic studies provide opportunity for intensive investigation of ideas. Prerequisites: Beginning Painting in Oils, Acrylic, or Watercolors. Mosiac Workshop

Glass tiles/ pieces will be glued to a wooden canvas. Each piece will be grouted by the instructor and then the pieces will then need to dry, and then be picked up at a later time. Students will create their own original composition and the instructor will then help students to outline their composition with the glass tiles.
