The emphasis of this class is the development of artistic expression through colors and textures. Each week, participants work on a project that builds a foundation in basic skills and reflects the child’s personality while developing a sense of accomplishment. Some of the themes will include abstract painting, artists around the world, exploration of elements in nature, and whimsical animals. These projects are carefully thought through to nurture children’s natural spontaneity in their approach to art. Explore various media such as pencil, marker, crayon, and color pencil. Explore perspective drawing. This class will help students learn techniques that will help their art work become realistic, and multi dimensional.
