During this session, you’ll delve deep into the artistry of hand-building, refining and mastering advanced techniques such as intricate coil building, slab construction and new ideas in the ceramic world. This course is ideal for those eager to push the boundaries of their creativity, whether you’re focused on creating functional pottery or exploring the depths of sculptural artistry. Fiber Arts Workshop June 16-June 20 | 1:30PM -4:30PM Cain Center for the Arts | Classroom 232 Instructor: Lauren Gibson Ages: 6-10 Price: $155.00 Course description: Campers will weave, crochet, embroider small tapestries, dish towels, bracelets, key chains, bowls, hats, and scarves. Campers need to be confident in tying box and slip knots. We will work on their dexterity throughout the week, ending with multiple projects to take home. ***Cornelius Residents will use RESCODE for Cornelius resident price in the shopping cart.***
Have Fun with A Million Shapes & Colors WK 3 PM
Have Fun with A Million Shapes & Colors July 7-July 11 | 1:30PM -4:30PM Cain Center for the Arts | Classroom 232 Instructor: Maria Roca Ages: 7-12 Price: $155.00 Come and have fun exploring colors and shapes and learn to use different brushes to create textures with acrylic paint. In this class students will work on the development of artistic abilities with total freedom of expression. Participants will observe the works of celebrated abstract painters and, with individual attention from the instructor, will develop their own ideas while learning techniques to create gestural marks and achieve interesting effects.
