Bridge Lunch WK 5

Parents must register their child for the Bridge Lunch during the camp registration process. The child must be registered for a morning, and afternoon camp on the same day, in the same week.   Cain Center for the Arts will not provide lunch for Bridge Lunch campers. Campers are required to bring their own lunch. Lunch will not be provided.   No drop-ins will be allowed. Parents will be charged a fee of $15 on top of the $60 fee registration fee. Parents who fail to register their students may result in their student being removed from the camp with no refund.   Discounts are not available for Bridge Lunch.

Bucket Drumming – WK 2 9:30AM June 22 – June 26 | 9:30AM – 12:30PM Cain Center for the Arts | Performance Hall Age: 10-12 Price: $200 Instructor: David Gibson Camp Description: Campers are engaged through foundational, practical, and fun drumming techniques. We explore multiple rhythms, patterns, and exercises through group games and activities. Clay Animation Workshop (7-10) WK 2 AM

Clay Animation Workshop – WK 2 9:30AM June 22 – June 26 | 9:30AM – 12:30PM 21212 Catawba Avenue | Flex Studio Age: 7-10 Price: $200 Instructor: Lauren Gibson Camp Description: Campers will explore storytelling, making commercials and short comedies through modeling clay and an animation app. Every day, campers need to provide their own iPad, phone, Chromebook, or laptop that has a camera and a charging device. Fantasy Creatures (6-10) WK 2 AM

Fantasy Creatures – WK 2 9:30AM June 22 – June 26 | 9:30AM – 12:30PM Cain Center for the Arts | Classroom 232 Age: 6-10 Price: $200 Instructor: Kortney Gibson Camp Description: Each day the students will get to take home an acrylic painting of their very own on a different size canvas. While focusing on a different magical creature each day, the kids will learn the steps of completing a piece of artwork. Starting with their inspiration and the composition, to while colors and brushes we should use, they will get a real idea of the artist’s process. Ending the week with a creative “Make Your Own Gnome”. Campers learn how to use simple shapes to build poses, facial expressions, and personality. Each day includes quick sketching, guided demonstrations, and plenty of time to develop their own cartoon characters. Students will also learn fun texture and glazing techniques, with an emphasis on personal expression.
