Roger McGuinn, founder of the legendary Byrds, is a pioneering guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose career spans folk, rock, and Americana. A Chicago native, McGuinn began performing professionally at 17, touring with the Limeliters, Chad Mitchell Trio, and Bobby Darin before co-founding the Byrds in 1964 with Gene Clark and David Crosby. He helped define the folk-rock sound with hits like “Mr. Tambourine Man” and “Turn! Turn! Turn!”, and later explored solo folk and rock projects, including the Grammy-nominated Treasures from the Folk Den.

Renowned for his 12-string Rickenbacker and signature harmonies, McGuinn continues to tour, sharing decades of musical innovation and timeless folk-rock classics.
