Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

  Celebrating 32 years in 2025, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy continues to electrify audiences with their signature blend of swing, jazz, and Dixieland, performed with high-energy flair and a deep respect for America’s musical roots. Rising to fame in the ’90s swing revival with a breakout role in Swingers, the band has since performed over 3,000 shows, sold more than 2 million albums, and appeared everywhere from the Super Bowl to The Tonight Show. With their original lineup still intact, they remain a driving force in keeping swing music vibrant and relevant for new generations.

Philip Sayce

From the moment Philip Sayce first put his hands on a guitar neck, he never let go. As a teenager, his raw talent and relentless dedication quickly caught the attention of his hometown hero, legendary guitarist and multi-platinum artist Jeff Healey, who happened to witness Sayce delivering a ferocious set in downtown Toronto. Within a year, Sayce was touring internationally with Jeff Healey’s band and performing at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals. He went on to spend four years recording and touring with musical icon Melissa Etheridge before launching a successful solo career. Sayce has since built a devoted fan base across Europe and beyond, sharing stages with the likes of ZZ Top and Deep Purple. A rare artist, Sayce blends powerful songwriting, masterful guitar work, soulful vocals, and an electrifying stage presence.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Celebrating over 45 years since their founding in 1977, the GRAMMY Award-winning New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres, including bebop jazz, funk and R&B/soul. This unique sound, described by the band as a “musical gumbo”, has allowed the Dirty Dozen to tour across five continents and more than thirty countries, record twelve studio albums and collaborate with a range of artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones. Forty-five plus years later, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a world-famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances.

Jazz Legacy Project presents John Coltrane: The Beauty of Struggle

The renowned Jazz Legacy Project returns to Cain Center for the Arts with another profound educational and entertaining program. This time, we’ll explore how John Coltrane’s music directly shaped R&B, Soul, and eventually Hip-Hop. Audiences will be able to learn how & why his work was so powerful, while also being inspired by his battle to overcome early childhood trauma and missed opportunities to create some of the most indelible and important music of the 20th century.

One Irish Rover: Van Morrison Tribute

Putting together the best of the old, new, and eclectic songs of Van Morrison that span over 6 decades of musical genius is daunting, but talented musician Pat Garvey has proved it can be done beautifully. Take a ride with Pat through Van’s collection of Blues, Soul and Rock ballads all blended in a Celtic Stew of uplifting beats, heart-felt searching for understanding, soul-touching melodies, and jazzy compilations that deliver you back to a rustic Irish Pub somewhere in the countryside of Ireland where the beer, Irish whiskey and music flow warmly together until the “wee hours of the mornin”.

How Sweet It Is: James Taylor Tribute

Grammy Award-winning songwriter (Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Darius Rucker) and recording artist Steve Leslie performs the music of James Taylor in HOW SWEET IT IS!, an authentic and spellbinding concert event! Steve’s warm baritone and exceptional guitar technique (not to mention his uncanny resemblance) will have audiences singing along to such classics as “Carolina In My Mind,” “Shower the People,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Fire and Rain,” “Up On the Roof,” and many more.

Tim played John Glascot on the long-running sitcom The Goldbergs and starred as the same character in Schooled. Tim has appeared in many films and television shows including Mean Girls, Grown Ups, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office, Bob’s Burgers and The Mandalorian.
