Intermediate/Advanced Wheel ThrowingCornelius Arts Center: Ceramic Studio Feb. 28 – Apr. 3, 2024Price: $175.00 Wednesdays, 6:30pm – 9pm Instructor: Ken Lambdin The goal of this class is to take a student with a fair amount of experience at the wheel, and elevate them to a level of greater skill in throwing and shaping potsWe will dissect the techniques of ‘centering’ and ‘pulling’ to make taller pots. We will focus on techniques for shaping pots with an eye for form and proportion. We will look at techniques for making lids and handles, with a goal to improve these complementary skills in making beautiful pots.Pre-Requisites: Must be able to comfortably center and throw 5 lbs of clay ***Cornelius Residents will use RESCODE for Cornelius resident price.***

We will explore not only hand building techniques but a variety of glaze and other surface design treatments.
